I write to convey a meaning

or point of view.

I take time over the choice

of words used. Often

changing and flittering

between phrases in order

to express myself fully, but

I struggle. Caught in trying

to find the perfect words, to

captivate the audience, to

prove I can write.

It is not a crime to

use plain English. There is

a time and place for intricate

description. I tell myself

there is no need for

“grandiloquence” when simplier

words will suffice. Writing

should be accessible to all, not

only to those who

know how to decode.
